Migrant Workers Starving During Lockdown

As Corona Virus lockdown continues in India the condition of working class across the country is continuously deteriorating. Several workers across the country are struggling to get back to their home towns. At the same time many workers are complaining that they aren’t getting the ration promised to them by the government and are struggling to get enough food. In this video, ChalChitra Abhiyaan speaks to workers form Darbhanga in Bihar who are daily wage workers in Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district. These workers have been unable to go back to their hometowns since the lockdown and are trapped in Shamli. Their food supplies are almost over and their condition is becoming increasingly desperate.
