Many Labourers yet to receive Government Ration

Ever since the lock down was declared by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in response to the Corona epidemic, daily wage workers in many parts of the country are facing very difficult times. Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Aditya Nath Yogi promised Rs.1000 and 35 kgs of ration to 35 lakh workers with labour cards in UP. ChalChitra Abhiyaan spoke to several workers in Kandhla township in Shamli district in Western UP who still haven’t received any government ration. They are surviving because of the help meted out to them by some social organisations in the region.
