CCA Explainer 3: How India’s Health System in Failing

In its third Explainer, ChalChitra Abhiyaan explores why people in India don’t have access to good healthcare. While the rich can afford good expensive private hospitals, but the majority of Indians can’t. The government spends a very nominal amount of the national GDP on healthcare. Government hospitals in most states in India are in shambles. People in India are dying of curable diseases. With Ayushman Bharat the government has declared that its entire thrust is on the private sector. Is it possible for Indians to have access to good healthcare?
